Location: close to the main squares in Lisbon (walking distance from Rossio square and other historic monuments). Walkable from the Avenida metro station. Staff: Very friendly staff. Took the time out to answer our simple question (about which direction is the river) with a detailed directions on the map, and other pointers. Room: in a historic building. Strangely, they have a few floors (2, 3, 5) and there's even medical lab downstairs in the same building. However, it's a charming area and building. For a stay in Lisbon to be close to the city center, hotel would be suitable. So while not commenting on the hotel, we found that Alfama is a great(er) neighborhood for tourists (who are able to walk a lot and uphill).

We stayed at this hotel for three nights at the beginning of our trip in January 2023 and returned to the hotel for the last night before flying home. The room was smaller than expected, but comfortable and in a good location. It’s on a main street, with many posh shops and restaurants all around, and it’s not far from the old city. Rossio Square and the Santa Justa lift are maybe a 12-minute walk away. And no hills! Straight and flat all the way. Plus there’s a metro station only a block away. We found all the staff to be helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was decent: good coffee, pastries, toast and baked goods, yogurt and fruit.

The location was excellent, near to many restaurants & bars, central to the City Centre and the Metro. We travelled from the Airport by the Metro cost 1.80 Euros each. The Hotel is on the second floor and more in a old building that restricts any expansion so the rooms are what they are in size. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Continental Breakfast served between 7am to 10am. We were able to book Hop n Hop off Bus, excursions and restaurants at the Hotel with the help of reception staff. Our room was overlooking the Avenue had a shower. We were more than pleased with this 2 star hotel

This was our third time staying here. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is first rate. Great location, a very safe neighbourhood with lots of amenities nearby. On this visit we were unable to pre-book a room with a balcony. We arrived early, stored our luggage and asked if they could get us a room with a balcony, and they did (great view of the boulevard too). Later in our stay the elevator broke down, and the staff didn't hesitate to help guests with their luggage up and down two flights of stairs.

THE LOCATION!!!! It's absolutely perfect, close to everything a tourist need. Which goes along with a bit of a noise at night - Avenida Liberdade is always quite busy. Nevertheless, I would definitely go back there. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The hotel is on an old, charming building, which was renovated in an old style. It has a classical touch, marbles, dark wooden elements. Some seems a bit used, but it's really clean. I would not choose a breakfast, since it was pretty simple, but that's the only disadvantage.
